In 2024 we carried out an anti-slip treatment on the outdoor tiles at The Helier Retirement Village & Care Residences in St Heliers. We were emailed by the Maintenance Manager of the Tuatapere Humpridge Track in Southland after they had a sudden viaduct closure and had to open a steep, damp and slippery stair bypass down and back up a 35m gully. Academy Motor Inn in Tauranga had concerns about their outdoor tiled areas becoming slippery when wet. We were approached by Gisborne District Council Council who had problems with people slipping when launching and retrieving their boats; a very common problem on boat ramps. Wooden boardwalks in the Whitianga Main Street and Ferry Wharf were a pedestrian slip concern for the Council. After discussions on how to remedy this area, they opted to retro fit over 700m of our 50mm Grey FRP Deck Treads. This provided them with a quick and cost effective solution. The tiled area in the main foyer, kitchen and bathroom areas were a slip hazard when wet. We carried out a treatment on the tiled area on a Saturday, to work in with school hours and after hours activities. Resulting in the area now safe to be walked on when wet and no down time or inconvenience for the staff and students. Photos show area during the application.

We were contacted by a large storage facility in Auckland in regard to their loading bay concrete floor being slippery when wet. We were able to carry out the anti slip treatment in two halves, meaning that their clients could still use the loading bay uninterrupted while we were working. The result was a distinct improvement of the co-efficient of friction and safe to walk on when wet; ensuring their duty of care responsibilities were met.

JULY 2025 - Dion from Fenceworkx Kapiti contacted us in regards to a school in their area that had a visually impaired child attending their school and needed a product to clearly make stair edges visible. With using our Safety Yellow MFRP 50x30mm stair nosing, he was able to highlight all areas of concern quickly and cost effectively. Used throughout the play ground as well as the school administration / classroom areas.

JUNE 2025 - We were approached by Freear Philip Ltd in Wellington for a fit out they were wanting product for. It was for a large anti slip and visibility issue at a school in their area. The results using a combination of our MFRP 50x30mm Safety Yellow stair nosing and 50mm Deck Treads solved both problems. The product was both cost effective and easy to fit, plus the result looks fantastic.
