Why use non slip stair nosings?
Most slip and trip accidents on stairs or steps happen due to slipping on the leading edge of the step. Causes of this can be worn or rounded corners on the step edge.
All of our stair nosings are independently tested by WSP Laboratories in Hamilton to ensure they meet or exceed the NZ Building Standard for co-efficient of friction and meet AS/NZS4586:2004.
They are compliant with D1/AS1. Acceptable Solution D1/AS1 provides a means of compliance with Building Code Clause D1 Access Routes.
This clause ensures the safety of entry/exit to the building and the safety of any internal or external stairs. It ensures people can move safely into, within and out of buildings.
Slippery stairs and steps at the work place and home are a major hazard and result in thousands of injuries every year. You must always eliminate the risk where you’re reasonably able to.
Our Stair Nosings carry a 5 year warranty against delamination.
