FEBRUARY 2026 - Anti-Slip Treatment of pool area at The Helier Retirement Village and Care Residences, Auckland

In 2024 we carried out an anti-slip treatment on the outdoor tiles at The Helier Retirement Village & Care Residences in Saint Heliers, Auckland.  With this solving any slip concerns they had with these areas, they asked us to return in February 2026 to anti slip treat the tiled indoor pool surrounds to give them peace of mind for their residents.  It is fantastic to see  their approach is to be pro-active with their Health and Safety, rather than being reactive like so many other calls we receive. 
 
The Helier was able to arrange a brief close down period for the pool area and once we had completed the job, in less than 2 hours, the area was able to be opened immediately for use, no dry time and no nasty odours. 
 
The co-efficient of friction was raised, when wet, to well above the NZ Building Standard.  Using a calibrated slip meter, we took pre and post treatment readings and provided The Helier a full co-efficient of friction report for them to keep on file. They were also provided with our after care Commercial Maintenance Cleaner which is to be used periodically to keep the anti-slip treatment in pristine condition.  This cleaner will strip away any contaminants, such as soaps and chlorine, from the surface and has a trace of the active anti-slip solution in it to top the treatment up, giving approximately 10 years of longevity to the treatment.
